The Magic Bullet

All peoples have hoped for that complete treatment,

that is easy, swift and sure;

This “magic bullet” is a therapeutic myth,

that a medicine will effect a cure.

Imagine a potion that is simple to take,

and can be tolerated with no unease;

That focuses in on the root cause,

and obliterates only the disease.

But so far no magic bullet,

has replaced our discipline;

To live with healthy habits,

and overcome our sins.

No doubt this hope will continue,

and move our medicine along;

For now we need add strength and wisdom,

to change the momentum of what’s wrong.
