Mastery
I trip, I fall, I get up
again,
I trip, get up and fall;
I trip, get up and start to
walk,
I trip, get up and fall.
I get up and I start to walk
again,
I trip fall down and cry;
I get up, walk and trip
again,
I really don’t know why.
Maybe I can walk like this,
or maybe something like
that.
I trip, I fall, get up and
walk,
maybe its something like
that.
I walk and walk and trip
again,
I walk and walk and walk;
I trip, I fall and get up
again;
I walk and walk and walk.
I hear in the distance: “Walk
like this.
Walk, beware, look out”.
I walk, I trip and fall
again,
I walk, I’m aware, and look
out.
I walk and walk and walk and
walk,
I walk and walk and walk.
I walk and walk and walk and
walk,
and walk and walk and walk.
My friend next to me, walks
and trips,
I say, “Walk, beware, look
out.
Walk like this, walk like
that,
Walk, be aware, Look out.”
Such is the same with the
walk of life,
remember as we stumble down
our path:
It’s not how hard we fall
while gaining mastery,
it’s how gracefully we roll
back.
