Discipline

Strength, fortitude, courage,

will-power with all of our Soul;

Discipline describes this action,

of being in control.

Too tight a grip chokes the Spirit,

as does obsession, fear and compulsion;

Too loose a grip sloths one off the path,

swept into the cosmic commotion.

Destiny is a might force,

on which control surfs a ride;

We can only ebb and flow,

and go gracefully with the tide.

Discipline is the control,

to transform what fate gives;

To play out the hope,

that a vision may live.

It takes generations to steady the hand,

attempting to live a life so great;

It was the discipline of our parents,

to attune our life with fate.
