Yom Kippur
Once a year, we take time out,
To gather our thoughts together;
And atone our sins unworthy of honor,
On this holy day of Yom Kippur.
‘Tis a day to make repentance,
and seek forgiveness for our wrongs;
A day of resolution,
And review of our life song.
Could I have done better?
How could I love more?
How might I move towards God?
What is my life for?
And So we ponder and make solemn oaths,
And promise no more postponements;
The time has come to make right our wrongs,
For today is the Day of Atonement.
