Words Can only Approximate

Words can only approximate what one really means;

Things are not as real as they always seem;

Reality is but a dream,

awaiting our sobering witness.

Perceptions perceived remain but perceptions;

The perceiver can perceive a concept’s conception;

The knower is known by its own recollection,

first it must take interest.

Awareness takes place once we’ve awakened;

In dreams we’re awake, when awake, we’re in dreamland;

While understanding is interesting, who really understands,

the ultimate truth of reality?

Knowing this,  let’s make a wish,

and hope that our good dreams come real;

Hope that our witness gains the courage,

to master what Fate does deal.
