To Mom, on Mother's Day

Here's a little note

To tell you that I'm here

To wish you happy Mother's Day,

and wish that I were there.

Sitting by your side,

Laughing, having fun,

Doing what is needed,

Because I am your son.

Or walking down the street,

With you right next to me,

I'll tell you my, sweet Mother,

Your son, I'm proud to be.

And to watch you with those babies,

A light shines from your eyes,

Mom, your quite a mother,

A queen dressed in disguise.

For you're the queen of mothers,

Whose heart is filled with love,

You live with grace and virtue,

like the gods above.

All in all, I've got to say,

Queens and gods aside,

Thanks for being mommy,

And thank God you're alive.
