THE
CURRENT
An eagle in
flight,
a horse in trot;
A cat gone a
hunting,
no dilemma
is fought.
Life seems for them so
clear,
they simply
do what they do;
Their path is
unfolded,
their
dharma is true.
But people are
unclear,
in thought, word and deed;
Who lives out their dharma,
and do just what they need?
Our choices are so
tempting,
to choose a
lesser way;
We live out our
falsehoods,
so in
confusion we stay.
We try to live the
good life,
and to be
one with God's light;
But he left us
confused and scared,
like a
child late at night.
For we cannot see
consequences,
and cannot
choose our fate;
Life is a
compromise,
no matter
how great.
And so, our destinies
unravel,
the current
carries us down stream;
Perhaps this is our
dharma,
at least
now so it seems.
