Wisdom as knowledge
fulfilled;
Teaching passes on a hope,
As our species passes on our
skill.
Skill in living, a craft, or
art;
Wise of mind, in hand or
heart;
Teaching helps to keep us
smart,
In the ways we seek to
learn.
Some do teach by memory or
wrote.
Others teach by reciting a
quote;
One may tell a story or
anecdote;
But all seek to express a
meaning.
Some are masters, others
beginning,
Some are idealists and
others pragmatic;
Some are sinners and some others
are sainted;
Some are boring and others
charismatic.
Experience may be at the
source,
A book or hearsay, or a
greater force.
Tradition, intuition, whatever resource;
Teaching is part of the way
of nature.
