Tolerance

There seems no higher ethic,

than tolerance--complete and free;

Allowing one to pursue her own path,

to respect what one chooses to be.

"Don't do this, you can't do that",

is intolerant and restricting.

"Do what you see as right",

keeps us from inflicting....

Inflicting the pain of tyranny,

of a manipulative and selfish reign;

Move rather toward a freedom of choice,

to choose ones own bliss or pain.

And in that choice remember our duty,

to be responsible for what we choose;

Thus our bliss will come,

by treading our path in our own shoes.
