SWEET SONGS

Singing sweet songs I surpass my sorrows,

          immersed in moments of joy;

This joy I feel, seems so real,

          As I partake in this ploy.

Varying vibes with my voice,

          attuned with inner peace;

At last my heart may make expression,

          realizing my release.

Even when the sadder songs,

          are sung out from my lips;

I cherish these as sacred sounds,

          for compassion to take sips.

Once sung it's gone, adrift in the heavens,

          free from ego's attachment;

And yet, when shared, it harmonizes,

          the beauty of song's enchantment.
