SWEET SURRENDER

Sweet surrender,

where are you now?

I hope for your return soon,

a struggle's come down.

Is this a fight to the finish,

may I not give up?

I've no need for victory,

in a world so messed up.

The bombs have been landing,

travesty prevails,

I fear for my life,

and all for whom I care.

And so I wave the white flag,

and wait for my orders;

Show me the victors,

and I'll cross the border.

But I fear no one has won,

we've all lost this war;

And so I'll stay in my bunker,

 too scared for much more.
