Her Vows
Since so very long ago,
I dreamed of marrying a man;
Who was witty, kind and sensitive,
worthy of my hand.
I dreamed he'd be a knight
in white satin,
courageous, brave and strong;
Yet soft and gentle when it
came to touch,
and he'd sing me sweet flute
songs.
And I'd dreamed he'd be a
righteous man,
true to his heart and mine.
Smart and sure, and an
endless romantic,
writing me beautiful rhymes.
But I dream no longer, for
my dream has come true,
and put into flesh and bone;
This man now stands before
me,
as we vow to start our home.
I hope our days together
bring us joy and good blessings,
and pray our love may bear a
sweet fruit;
I know our love is true and
worthy,
for we are lovers of the Truth.
And with this Truth we duly
wed,
and join our hands and hearts
together;
Let us share this Truth,
in the love of our family
forever.
