WHERE ARE THOSE FAIR YOUNG MAIDENS

Where are these fair young maidens,

Who blossom like a flower,

Sweet as sugar candy,

Refreshing as a shower .

Why do some turn bitter,

As laden with a scar,

Complaining every hour,

Like cynics in a bar?

Come forth all ye maidens,

Be healed now from your plight,

Tune in with a higher Beauty.

Appreciate  your life.

Troubled ways may cross your path.

Tempt you with great fears,

Worry you about yourself, and

Burden you with tears.

Keep in mind that Life is good,

A cup that overflows.

Regret not what you could not miss, and

Live towards what you know.
