AUTUMN

The autumn leaves turn from green

To yellow, red and brown.

The summer's fun not long ago,

In memories past is found.

The kids go back to school,

And old folks stay inside;

The sun goes down much earlier,

And the hibernators hide.

The birdies head down south,

And the baseball games are through,

The air is getting colder,

And there's frost in place of dew.

In transition from the hot to cold,

The autumn has a tempered reason;

It's harvest reaps a fruitful crop,

So thank God for this season.
